1M MASKS is Now Shipping Gowns to Healthcare Workers in Need

It has been 69 long days since New York's first confirmed coronavirus case. The curve continues to flatten but we are not yet out of this crisis. Even as hospitalizations slow, New York continues to be the COVID-19 epicenter in the nation. As we enter week four of the 1M MASKS project, rest assured that the team is still committed to protecting front line healthcare workers.

We have shipped over 300,000 PPE items, including masks, gowns, goggles and face shields. Of these, 70,000 items are currently in transit. Here are some photos of healthcare workers who have received their 1M MASKS orders:

Initially, 1M MASKS was focused on getting masks into the hands of healthcare workers. But as of late April, we have expanded beyond that to make other PPE items available, including gowns. We are working with a local source in California, and have shipped 12,000 gowns to 12+ hospitals to date.

We are also focusing on providing PPE to underserved communities, where COVID-19 is taking a hard hit, including but not limited to:

  1. Low-income area hospitals
  2. Native American tribes
  3. Nursing homes
  4. Rikers Island jail complex and other correctional facilities

We have enough funding for one additional shipment of PPE, but we are always looking for more donations to help get PPE into the hands of front line healthcare workers. If you are interested in donating, please email us at 1mm@newscred.com for more information.
